Is it okay to get guinea pigs from pets at home?
Next weekend I am due to get guinea pigs from pets at home. two girls or two boys is it okay to get them from pets at home. They are all very healthy and I have gotten everything else from pets at home and it is all in good shape. Please help
Moving houses: transition from indoor to outdoor pets?
we have 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and a budgie, all indoor pets.the family's moving to a new bigger house in the next two weeks, sadly we're just renting it so no pets indoors that might ruin the carpet and stink the whole house, the parents said so.all of the pets are used to being indoors, specially one of the dogs who is spoilt and has a place in my bed, she also has to sleep outdoors as she has a tendency to pee under the bed at night.what can i do to get them used to the outdoors, specially the spoilt one? and what measures can i take to make the move less stressful to them?WOAH... i didnt know yahoo answers can be so hostile now a days...I LOVE MY ANIMALS, its just the parents that are hard to convince that animals can and SHOULD live indoors, i have spent a large amount of money in keep them happy and well super premium foods, monthly dog grooming, vet bills, treats toys etc , and am willing to spend more. But as long as im living with the parents THEIR house, THEIR rules. The parents LOVE my animals too, they just cant stand the smell of animal urine and poo. My dogs have a tendency to mark their territory and its a newly constructed house. Dont want yellow marks on the white walls. I'm pretty sure dad will allow the bird inside, just not the largers animals. ms manners thanks, so far that is the most reasonable and workable and non hostile answer, thank you I live i the southern most and coldest part of australia. The animals will be kept inside at night, they wont be permanently outdoors.And i will not give them away.
What species of owl is it legal to keep as pets in Australia?
Hey, just wondering what the go is for keeping owls in Australia. What species are you allowed to keep. I no about the " no release" rules and stuff like that, but other than that, what do you have to do to get an owl? Do you need a license? But mostly, what owl specis are legal for Australian residents to keep as domesticated pets?
Need help shipping pets to the United States.?
Well since I have yet to get a response from the first 5 Pet Shipping companies I have tried, figured I would see if anyone here knew of any. I am looking to ship my ferrets from Okinawa, Japan to Orlando, FL. Now for the odd part, I am in neither location at the moment. I had to leave rather short notice, but prior to going a friend in Okinawa is taking care of the ferrets. He has full access to all their medical records and I can easily send him needed funds. Another friend is going to take them in while I finish moving around. Figure if I can get them moved and take care of the quarantine, RF id chips, etc..by the time I finish moving it will be a lot easier. Both friends have ferrets of their own so they understand handling, what they need, etc etc.
Caring for corn snakes as pets?
Im very expeirenced most geckos and other reptiles but ive never owned a snake as a pet. So what im gettin at is, do corn snakes make good pets. What are their behavior, temperament, are they aggresive or strike i no anything with a mouth can bite but my geckos for instance hav never bit me, their sooo friendly also what are important things to know about them and how to care for them....this is like litarely the only pet i havnt had any expeirence with cause my parents arnt fond of them at all So that might b a problem but just wanted to know these things thnxx

I want an exotic pet and I was thinking a monkey but I don't no what kind of monkeys u can get in Canada and do u need a permit to have one even if they are legal and also I live in Ontario Canada and if monkeys are not legal what is a good pet
Game bred dogs as pets?
I don't know much about " Game" bred dogs but I have seen a lot of people posting photos of " Game" dogs on Facebook lately. They are pets but I was wondering if " Game" bred dogs are good to have as a pet?I mean " Game" bred Staffordshire Bull Terriers and American Pit bull Terriers.Only answers regarding this question... no stereotypical or generalizing answers about the breeds Thanks for most of the answers DeeDawg Yes they are breeding " Game" bred Staffordshire Bull Terriers but you are in America and Staffies aren't as popular as they are in the UK and in the US most people want a Pit Bull. Do Milk snakes get along with other pets?
I am considering getting a milk snake. I own 1 dog and 2 cats. Is this going to work?I've never owned a snake before. any snake that is a good beginner snake and gets along with pets would be fine
Outlawing pet stores?
I read something somewhere, a proposal that pet shops be outlawed, and people seeking pets go through the animal shelter or a breeder. I think this is a good idea to stop puppy mills, overpopulation and the price gouging pet shops do.. What do you think about it? Suga where are you from? I think thats an excellent idea, having pet stores for supplies and perhaps reptiles and such.. carlson I LOVE FERRETS
Oh the people you meet at pet supply stores?
I don't know about everyone else, but every time I step foot into a pet supply store I meet at least one... to use a nice term... " character" . Or at the very least over hear a conversation that makes me laugh, cringe, cry... sometimes all at once My most recent experience?Over heard a conversation between two ladies about how one of them had taught her dog to be obedient of her toddler by having him roll onto his back every time the child came near or entered a room. She also said " anytime I see someone with a child I have her roll onto her back so she knows that all people, no matter what age are the boss" Um. Oh dear.Anyone else meet any " characters" or overhear any crazy conversations? Is it okay to point fan at pet rats?
This question is only for people who know something about and like small pets rodents. My sister keeps it too warm in the house and two pet rats in a tank seem to be getting a bit warm. They are coming out and digging into the bedding to lay down on the cooler glass of the tank bottom rather than cuddling up in the little rat house like they used to. Is there any reason that I cant point a fan into the cage to help them out?

Which exotic pet should i choose?
well im not sure which pets to get baby southern flying squirrels baby hedgehogs Baby Prairie Dogsi have made my research but i just want experience from pet owners who have own any of these pets, can you please give me extra info and your experience's with these pets. thanks for your help
