Is it worth buying a pet rat if you really like it even if you already have lots of other pets?
I had a pet rat but now he's gone. I really want to have another one, but I already have hamsters and guinea pigs, so it must be very hard to take care of three different kinds of pets?
Is it allowed to keep pets in the accommodation of the University of Edinburgh?
I'm striving to have a pet next year and hopefully am going to stay in the accommodation of the University of Edinburgh. Do you, guys, know, whether it's allowed to keep pets in the accommodation or I better wait until I get old and have my own place?

iv been looking at chinchillas and i think there very cute but they lookk like alot of work and i have cats and dogs as well as my rabbit and guinea pigs i just love my animals the cats wont be a problem they are fine with my guineas and rabbit they are scared of the guinea pigs but like the rabbits but my dogs will be a bit crazy and you have to keep them in side don't you ? anyway i just thought about ferrits i think there also cute, witch one would be better ?
Jellyfish as pets? Does it work?
I have seen online the new Desktop Jellyfish Tank. It seems to be relatively new, does it work? Has anyone on here tried it?I would LOOVE to have it, but as I don't have that much expeirence with fish keeping or the money to do buy jellies........ They are so interesting though, they way they move, how they are sheer, how they feed, even how they sting never. ever. want to experience it though. I'd love to know if it works or not, and how you care for them. And with shipping? Were they dead when they arrived? Or did you catch some yourself or get some from a seller close enough to drive too?Thanks in Advance ..... I was just asking out of curiosity guys.....I'm not actually buying them, I said that in the initial question.I'm not an idiot. Question on taming pets?
When bringing a new pet home, several people say to leave them alone for a few days, while others say you should start handling them when you get them. Another question I have is, if an animal doesnt like to be held, some people say to keep holding them and they get used to it, while others say if you keep holding them when they dont like it, its not going to make more friendly. The reason im asking these is because im getting two new pet rats and i want to tame them right. Thanks
Are Shih Tzus good family pets?
We are getting a Shih Tzu A dog . They are medium sized dogs with round faces and lots of fur. The one we are getting is a polite fur ball and when we saw her in real life, we instantly fell in love with her. We have bought her a small dog bed, a double sided dog bowl, a dog brush, a pink, soft elephant toy that squeaks and a teddy bear that you can warm up in the microwave and lie on it at night while it is warm. We haven't collected the puppy yet but we are very soon. We know to get the dog shampoo and food. I have a few questions to ask...How many times do I have to bath the dog a week? How many times do I have to cut the Shih Tzu's fur a week? I know they're not perfect dogs, no dog is, but are they 'well behaved' dogs? She is a lovely dog and we have so much love to give her. How can i stop my parents from getting new pets?
Over the years my family have had a number of animals. In my house is my brother 9 my mum and my dad. Every time we've had an animal it's either died, keeps getting caught by the dog pound or my family simply cant afford health costs so it has to go to another family. We have had like five dogs and like two cats before that last like a year each. Our last animal was a dog who had ran away about a month and a half ago and they said that we are getting no more animals from then on i was never happy with getting animals for a few years because im aware my family are hopless with them , my mum has been making jokes for a few days about getting a kitten and i would always say 'no way in hell' but i woke up this morning to find not only one but TWO kittens in my kitchen My mum laughed when i she saw the look on my face. I know its not the kittens fault but i just cant help to dislike them already. I am so annoyed with my parents for yet again, getting more pets I am sick of having to tell my friends when they come over what has happened to the last pet. I do not what any animals in my home because this is ridiculous and im sure they'll expect me to clean up after them when they're away in work when i get home. WHAT SHOULD I DO? i have explained to them over and over and over that i dont want any more animals because i end up getting attached to them after a while and then they go, they agree with me for a little while but then they all warm up to the idea of getting a new one by the way when i said they either 'died got caught by the dog pound or not enough money for health costs' one of our dogs got put down because he bit the vet when he was about to have an opperation, and a two of our dogs kept running away over and over again and we had to keep paying the dog pound and eventually my parents didnt have enough money to keep paying and another dog in my parents oppinion was just 'too naughty' to leave in the house on his own while everyone was in work school. I get your comments and i may have come across that my parents are cruel to the animals, this is not the case, its just i know animals dont work with my family and i dont see why they cant see that, they dont understand that an animal is FOR LIFE and not for a year or two i am just really angry that they've gone agains my wishes and got two cats, its frustrating more than anything, my family are shit with animals

Would a ferret be a good college pet?
I was just wondering because a dog would be to much to have to worry about letting outside, and pottytraining, and all that stuff. Once I get an apartment I woould love to have a pet or two to keep me company, and a ferret fits the bill. It would just be me and the ferrets, no other pets. Would they be a good college pet. I'll be going to a veterinary college.
