How to stop my cat from killing birds?
My cat keeps bringing me dead birds to my back door, luckily I've managed to save a few before she's killed them but the thing is I'm an animal lover and it breaks my heart every time she brings another dead bird. I've tried putting a bell on her and she still caught them and then I was told to put 2 bells on her, she's been wearing 2 bells for the last year and there's no change in the amount of birds she's killed. She's an indoor cat most of the time, she's let out during most of the day but spends every night inside. Can anyone help me? I've been told that clipping her nails could help, but need a second opinion. thanks.
What is a good brand of cereal I can feed my birds? Are Weet-Bix alright?
I would like to add some cereal although my birds already get rice, pasta and some healthy bird bread in their diet to my birds' diet. I currently bought a pack of sugar free weet bix cereal? Is this fine?
Are organic pellets fine for birds? Or are seed based diet better?
I first done research and found out that pellets are better than seeds. Then I look around Y Answers seeing that some pellets contain too much harmful stuff like soy and harmful material. I had a quick chat with my vet and he mentioned organic pellets. Some Y Answers member suggest Harrison's. The vet also does and he ships them everywhere. I researched about Harrison's Pellets and also found out that it doesn't have any artificial material that people mention. Then I saw again seeds are better....So I'm a little confuse? What should I feed my birds? Seeds or Pellets? Thanks for your help.It would be even more helpful if you can give me a ratio like fresh food seeds pellets.....Also can you tell me why the food you chose is better? Thank you again for your help D
Is there a angry birds claw machine in jasper?
Is buying birds from pet stores safe?
The reason I am asking this is because a friend of mine had a bad experiences with buying birds from pet stores. He used to keep finches and one time he bought 2 pairs of finches from petco, the birds died within 2 days of him having them, so he went ahead and bought a pair of finches from different petstore and they lived for only 2 weeks. So are pet stores bad places to get birds? I plan on getting like 4 6 finches probably zebra or spice society .
How can I get my birds to eat veggies and fruits?
I have two Cockatiels, I've had them for about 5 years now. When I first got them I tried giving them fruits and veggies because I know it's suppose to be part of their daily diet. However they would only eat broccoli. They won't touch anything else. I asked the vet what to do and she said since they won't eat it to give them a vitamin supplement, which I've been doing ever since. But I'll be eating more vegetables and I don't want none of it to go to waste so I want to try and to get my birds eating some too. What should I do??

Am I really a bad bird owner? In the past 3 weeks 3 of my parakeets died.?
Ok so approx 3 4 days ago 2 of my parakeets died and last night I found another one dead at the bottom of the cage. Before she died I saw her eating. So she ate and then somewhere during the evening she just dropped dead. I really don't think I'm doing anything wrong. The birds are not kept in the kitchen, their cage is not near anything harmful for them. The only other animal that I have is my 5 year old rabbit and she's nowhere near the cage, plus when I did let them out of the cage the doors to my room were closed so they did not fly anywhere . There are no plants in my room, no air fresheners those that you plug into the wall , scented candles nothing. The only thing that is in the entire apartment is the cigarette smoke cause both of my parents smoke , but I can't do anything about it. They don't smoke in my room. Another thing is that there is cold air coming through the windows, so at night it can be kinda chilly. I'm kinda pissed off at myself in a way ,because I recently spent approx.200$ to buy a nice large cage for them so they will have plenty of room, but if they will just keep on dying when what's the point. I actually wanted to buy a larger bird like an Indian Ringneck or a Cocaktiel ,but now I'm having seconds thoughts cause if the same thing would happen to them, it will just be money going down the drain.I keep their food in plastic food containers. The thing is, they don't wanna eat vegetable or fruit. I tried giving them what I could but they just were not interested in it. I clean their cage twice a week. I only use warm water. No chemical or anything like that . I heard that white vinegar and warm water is good, but Idk. When I do clean my room I use those wet and dry swifer pads to sweep the hardwood floors. Also when I do clean I remove their cage from my room.
Which is the right bird for me?
So I'm about to move house into a place that doesn't allow pets ie cats and dogs resulting in me having to leave my 2 dogs to go live with my parents. I spoke to the landlord and they are okay with me having a bird provided it is kept caged at all times.. but what they don't know won't hurt them I'm looking for a bird that is okay to be left alone, in a cage while I go to work and sleep but when I am at home will appreciate coming out of the cage and spending some time with me around my house and enjoys, for lack of a better term, a cuddle.A bird that isn't high maintenance but I'm totally prepared to share my daily fresh fruits and veg's if it means it will be healthier and happier and I don't mind keeping them groomed. Also a bird that can be loud at times but 98 % of the time is considerable quiet.I'd rather a bird that likes human interaction, I'm not phased if it's one of those " talking birds" I'm just in it for the bond and company.Any suggestions??I am also prepared to take the time of raising a bird from young if that is what it takes to get the bond
What type of bird is this?
