Aren't mixed breed dogs and designer dogs the same thing?
Does anyone else feel that websites or programs for dogs kind of lose credit when they separate the two? I don't know how I came across it but there is a site that helps owners of mixed breed dogs kind of guess what their dog may be mixed with by choosing snout, tail and ears of their dog it was kind of interesting . Then I came to this site that sells 'DNA tests which I'm sure won't be 100 % correct either way. They have two different tests, for mixed breed dogs and for designer dogs and also purebred dogs wisdompanel.comdogbreedinfo.com a site I will sometimes use for reference has them separated too. Why do some sites things separate the two? I always thought of them as the same thing. Jake Yeah, I use to think dogbreedinfo.com was a reliable site for dog breeds. Then I noticed they were listed 'designer' dogs as actual breeds and portraying them as actual breeds. They kind of lost of reliability when I noticed it. I will go there sometimes for dog breeds, but then I usually compare what they have listed with what the AKC has listed or actual sites about the dog breeds have listed. But I don't find them as a reliable site anymore.
What would win a pitbull or TWO german shepherd dogs?

Cruel to make my dogs work?
I want to get some thoughts on this, i have a total of five dogs. Four of my dogs are field Gamprs and i have a Yorkshire Terrier that i use for ratting. I have had a mountain of emails telling me what a neglectful person i am giving no thought to the fact my dog may get hurt or injured.Are these just crazy people or is that the thoughts of most, that a little dog cannot do anything because it may get harmed. I cannot be the only one.

I have been taking a large kong and stuffing it with peanut butter then freezing it. Works great and keeps him busy for like 2 hours, but I would like to switch it up and rotate new toys every day or two. I hear the buster food cube is good. Okay I am going in over my head right now I have 2 dogs, Sytes my service dog GSD who is soon to be retired and my 2 years old Husky named Acheron. I live in a home, I am a college student and I live with 2 other people, and my friend Pomeranian. So in my house there is 3 dogs. I am going on Sat. to meet and hopefully bring home my new service dog. That makes 4 dogs. I do have time, I do not work since thankfully my mother has been saving money since before I was born so I do walk my dogs, train them and spend almost all day with them especially with Sytes. However my mom has a trip to England coming up due to business and she plans to leave her BC with me O.O That s makes 5 dogs Am I in over my head? What should I do? Ema I wish My friend barely takes care of her dog . she uses pee pee pads cause she says she to lazy to take her out every hour. I walk all the dogs, and thankfully I have never had a seizure during a walk As for my other inmate, his pretty much busy with work and college.

Dog play vrs aggression? how to tell?
I'm kind of new with the whole puppy thing. I'm trying to figure out if my puppy is playing or being aggressive. Here is what I observed today. My puppy met up with another puppy about the same age. The other dog did a few bows, and a few nudge bumps to get him in play mode. Mt pup engaged into play with his head tilting and grabbing at the other pups collar. A few more bows and off they ran together. Ok, I know this was total play. Then the other dog in chance came behind mt puppy and rolled in engaged in some wrestling. Mine rolled twisting boring ankles. Still play. Off running again. Chasing began again. Then my puppy got rolled again. Kind of yelp, bark growled and bit at the other puppies stomach. Got up raised his hackles a little then ran after the other dog barking loud biting his ankles, back while chasing and barking and stopped and showed his teeth???I thought, oh now it was going south. The other puppy backed off and kind of growled. They separated themselves. Sat and after a while the other puppy came back to mt puppy. Trying to play. My puppy got up ran away and chase began again. Same thing my pup got into a rolling match some teeth showing ran after him. Biting and snapping at butt and the neck. Then they both stopped went over to the dirt and started digging wholes. Everytime the other dog wanted to play. Mine didn't really want too. The other puppy owner wants to get them together again but I'm a little nervous. O don't want to dress my puppy and have him hate other dogs if this play is to rough. How can I tell? Should I meet up again. She said the more they meet the more they will get use to each other. Mine weights 27lbs. And 19 weeks. Her's weights 49lbs 27 weeks.
Why does my dog like to hold my hand?
My 3 year old shih tzu likes my to hold her hand and rub it when i hold she looks me in the eye likes she's telling my something she has what i call people eyes they don't look like dog eyes they're hazel they use to be blue when she was younger I just thought this was intresting do you think she could be a person in a dogs body that's my theory
Urget Dog Care Question! Swollen testicles?
My dog recently got neutered 3 4 days ago and keeps licking the incision. I put a cone on him, but now his testicles are red and swollen. It gets bigger by the hour and he seems to be in a lot of pain. I gave him some antibiotics from an old dog. Is this life threating? or normal? Please help My dad is a horse vet, he thought the antibiotics would help. And also, to the dumb shit that thought neutered dogs would never keep their testicles, older dog's testicles will often not shrink for several days after the procedure. At least google it before you make some smart ass comment. Please try and be helpful, I'm super worried and you are a dumb shit, as previously stated.And the people that say I need to take him to a vet of course I do. But I live on a farm, and can't leave until six tomorrow morning, I just need to know if it is bad enough that I have to preform some drastic, life saving procedure. So try to be helpful, ie lack of stating the obvious.
Dog is overweight? How to exercise better?
My female border collie is about 60 pounds. She also has hypothyroidism which the doc says contributes to her being overweight. She is about 7 years old and is a total sweetheart, everyone loves her. Only problem is she hasn't always got along with dogs that well, so sometimes I'm afraid to walk her. I am in high school and have practice every day until 6 then it is dark outside. How can I exercise her so she will start to lose weight
How do I get my dog involved with hunting trials?
I have a bluetick hound and we are very happy together but sometimes I feel bad because I think he's probably bored. He used to be used for hunting but I got him through a rescue so he knows his job I just don't know mine. I know there are hunting trials where the animals are not actually killed the dogs are just timed to track them. i know it's probably girly, too city, goofy, or whatever but I do not want to actually kill anything I just want to give my dog a chance to use the nose God gave him. I'm just not sure where or how to get started. I live in Ohio so any ideas would be greatly appreciated especially local ones.great do you know the names of any in Ohio?
