How to transport fish?
I know a guy who wants to give up his 45 gal aquarium with a stand, a filter, and everything the fish needs like the heater and food. however, I do know to keep the filter and gravel wet to preserve the bacteria, and I know to bring as much water as I can, but what I cannot figure out is how to transport the tank, stand, and ALL ten of his big fish. he has three 6 inch Bala sharks i believe. I've only seen a picture of the tank a plecostomus 5 inch , two which I could count neon tetras, no having to worry, since I have a neon tank, and some other fish that I couldn't see in the picture. how do I transport these fish without hurting them, stressing them out, or killing them. going to a fish store and getting some bags is out of the question because the fish are so big, so what the hell do I do the fish are young. don't worry. I have a 20 gallon in my garage that when I can tear down my existing ten gallon with cories and neons. I can put the two or three neons from the big tank with my existing neons, move the cories to the 45 gallon, keep the pleco in the 45 gal, and maybe move the fish around, gut I'll make it work... don't worry.
So please help me my Molly fish is really fat I don't know if she's pregnet or not she has not been over fead?
Compared to my other Molly she's huge if she is pregnet how long will it take her to have her fry
My new fish are acting sluggish and sitting at the bottom of the tank?
after i floadted the bag and let the water temp adjust i took them out of the bag and put them into the tank. they were all swimming and acting just fine. i have checked the temp and i have done a water test and everything is fine. but they are ALL just laying at the bottom of the tank not really moving much.
Moving a 30 gallon fish tank?
I have to move a 30 gallon fresh water fish tank, which because of the weight obviously has to be drained first. How do I transport the fish, and how long can they survive in whatever temporary container I put them in? Also, when filling the tank again, can I use regular city tap water, or what kind of water should I use?
My fish has ich, what should I do?
I have 4 goldfish in my tank and on two of them, these little powdery white spots have appeared. They look kind of like sand but they're white. They don't really seem to swim around a lot and i don't see them eat when I feed them. I looked it up and found out they might have ich. What should I do and will my other two fish get it?I also have a heater in my tank and I heard salt would work, but I'm not sure if they have ich.
What kind fo fish is this? help I don't wannt it to die so I want to know which kind of food to give it?
it is a small fish orange from the tail and from the top it is a light orange it it has 5 fins the tail is round and wide the body is slim it's probably the size of a pinky from a baby it has a fin on the top on the bottom one on each side and the tail hope this helps

The thermometer in the fish tank broke. But the part of the thermometer with the liquid stuff, didn't break. So it was just the broken glass from the outer glass that broke. I picked it all up.But i've been noticing lately that my pond comet is acting very weird. He just sits on the bottom of the tank mostly and doesn't seem to swim around much and act like himself.Is it possible he ate some of the glass?What's wrong with him???
What freshwater fish should i breed?
I have a 75 gallon tank with guppies and mollies and I want more of a challenge on breeding but something cheap and sortof easy with community fish to go with mine now. Not platies molly's guppies or swordtails
About all of my fish.?
ok when i looked up every fish that i got which i have 2 tiger barbs but im getting rid of those tomorrow 2 cherry barbs and 2 rosy barbs and i know they have to be in a group of 5 or more 1 rainbow shark 2 plectomus 4 zebra dainos and 2 cory catfishes when it said barbs are middle swimmers they are all hanging out on the bottom of the tank and i have a 30 gallon tank btw what seems to be the problem stress or shyness?
How do you quarantine fish and how long?
Warning if you dont know what quarantine is dont answer... ok so recently I added new fish to both of my tanks I acclimated them but no quarantine. I have never done it before but I kind of want to now. I have two 30g tanks a cube tank and regular one. The reg one had adult platies and cories,ottos I added 6 glofish and 2 died idk why but they did. My reg tank where the glofish are at is planted and is fine no fish are sick. However in my other 30g cube tank there wwere smaller platies that were young and I added swordtails and mollies 3 mollies died and 2 swordtails. They were unhealthy from the store I got them im never buying fish there. So the cube tank is full of ick all the platies have ick except for the new fish the mollies and swordtail. Why didnt the new fish get ick too. Both tanks are cycled no ammonia or nitrite ph is at 6.8 the tank is currently 89F to cure ick some are getting better to prevent this I think im going to quarantine fish now but how long donthey have to be there. Does the water in the quarantine tank have to be from the tank they are going to go into? Also is it necessary for only fish or also shrimp and snails what about cories and ottos. I got a spare 10g tank I was going to sell but before I want to use it as a quarantine tank so I can get more fish and then sell it. Im planning on getting 2 more cories 3 more ottos like 5 shrimp and 3 guppies and for the other tank I want to get 2 swordtails. Thanks for reading and answering check back as I might add more details.Also how many fish can I quarantine at once can I do 3 ottos 2 cories and guppies at once?
