A kong question for my puppy?
I just got my puppy a kong toy which also came with a tub of peanut butter and i got her the treats that are made for it.And i tell you she do not like them treats or even the peanut butter.She will lick the peanut butter off your finger but not that much.So i put some of her treats i give her on a daily.She begun to chew on it to get her treats it took her maybe 10mins to get her treats out,but i didn't put that much in it.just wanted to see if she would chew on it.So tomorrow i have work so i was going to put her kong in her crate with her.So should i put some peanut butter to make it a little more harder to get her treats out and to keep her busy.Please give me some ideas .Oh yea how much treats peanut butter should i put in it on a daily.

Are kong dog toys cruel?
My dog loves food, he's a very big dog, and I bought him a kong, and watching him growl and chew it to get the food out makes me think it's slightly cruel. I've never deprived him or made him work for his food before and I feel like it's mean to frustrate him this way just for a few treats. Can anyone reassure me that these toys aren't cruel in some way? I feel a bit unsure about it...

I'm looking at getting some toys to keep my dog busy when i'm out. I want something that will keep her entertained for a while and mentally stimulate her, she also needs to be able to play with it by herself.i'm asking here because i want to know what works for people. i had a treat ball for my last dog and she never even touched it unless i was around.i have an 8 month old cocker spaniel if that helps. thank you my dog doesn't sleep all day, she naps on and off but she also sniffs around the yard and occasionally barks at birds.that's why i want something to occupy her, so rather than barking she will have something better to do.

What are some interesting things i can put in a kong for my puppy?
she doesn't eat peanut butter, which is weird, and i can't really think of anything else to put in there i stuff a dog biscuit in but she can't get it all out so it's kind of annoying that i have to help her or she just leaves it. any other ideas? especially stuff i will already have around the house and it's winter so she will mostly use it inside at night while i'm watching tv and stuff.

I need five good ideas on making a safe durable long lasting kong for my dog... or any treat that will keep him occupied for a long time and is still safe durable and long lasting... My dog is a jack russell and he tears up anything we give him...even the squeaky plastic balls, hamburgers, and hotdogs that we get from the pet store.... My 3 month old puppy has really worn down her puppy kong and her kong teething stick within about a month. I have a medium adult kong, but she is still just a puppy and only 10 pounds. I'm wondering if I should buy her another puppy kong, buy her an adult small kong, or give her the medium kong I already have?What's the risk with the larger kongs and small dogs?
