Are bunnies good pets?
I want to know if bunnies are good pets. I've done my research, and i've chosen to get 2 holland lop bunnies. I have room in my bathroom for a litterbox and if it's raining outside, but i'd prefer for my bunnies to live in their hutch and rabbit run outside in my yard. As far as time, i work from eight to five, so i have about thirty minutes in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon to care for my bunnies. I've heard both great and horrible things about bunnies. In your opinion, what are they like and would you recommend one?

Are they going to pass this law in New Mexico about pets? (read)?
Ok, I've heard rumors where I live that they are going to pass a law in New MExico that means petstores can't sell pets that aren't native to the state. Does anyone know if they are actually going to pass this law? Help thanks

Clean pet stains out of carpets?
Okay i just asked and decided that it might be best if i added the products that i have tried instead of getting answers for stuff i done tried. Noted that the smell is gone it is just that when black lighted you can still see the stains and where when i try carpet cleaner it spread the stains. Anyways i have tried oxiclean urine b gone, simple green , brissel pet odor and stain remover along with some others i cant think of the names though
RATS.. Would you consider them as pets?
I think there are a lot of misconceptions out there about rats. That they're dirty.. Pfft, my rats are better litter trained than most cats They bite.. You're more likely to be bitten by a rabbit or guinea pig than a rat.They smell.. Only if you don't clean them out or litter train themSo I was just wondering, would you consider rats for pets? If not, why not?I have 8 rats, so I may be biased, but they are so lovely, sweet and affectionate it breaks my heart that people think of them as just vermin or snake food.

Do parakeets make good pets?
I would like to get two of the same type of bird. I'm considering parakeets but I have the following concerns 1. I've heard that parakeets and certain types of birds can keel over dead at any time in their lives without warning for no apparent reason. Is this true? I would want to have the birds for years and make an emotional commitment. It would be devastating to lose one at a young age.2. I used to know someone who had parakeets and he had newspapers on the floor all around the cage to protect his rug from bird droppings. Is there any type of cage I could get that would make this unnecessary? I don't want either bird droppings or newspapers on my floor.3. When I was very young, we had a parakeet. Everyone in the family got sick, one by one, with some unknown illness possibly a virus , and the adults decided it was caused by the bird. When the bird removed from the home, everyone got well and never got this type of illness again. Is it true that parakeets and other birds purchased from a pet store can transmit illnesses to humans. evem though the bird appears to be healthy? If so, what types of illnesses do they transmit?Thanks in advance for all serious answers.
Why don't sheep make good pets?
I love sheep with my whole heart, but I have read around that they do not make good pets. I have no plans at owning a sheep right now, but I am thinking about getting one when I am older. So could anyone really explain why sheep are not good pets? What exactly do they do that makes them bad pets? And how are they more harder to handle then a goat?

Would you reccommend a chinchilla for a pet?
I've done my research about chins, but i want some opinions from real chinchilla owners about if you thought they were good pets or not. I'd prefer a pet that is easily tamed and handled. I do have kids running around my house, so biting, kicking, and scratching is not tollerated if it's more than a few times. I've found a chinchilla breeder that hand raises her chins. Since all the breeders say that they are wonderful pets, how true is this? This pet will be for myself, not my nephews and nieces. I really think they are adorable pets, but i'd like a hands on pet too.

... and you went to pick the dog up and take him home again, would they phret cos they're so use to their surroundings there, or be happier to come back home? different place we've had our dog for 12 years now and he has been in a pet motel for over a year now. my dad has been sick on and off the past 12 months and has a unit which does not accept pets so is looking around for a house. what would happen when we go to pick him up??the pet motel is fantastic they have just about everything on board there facilities are excellent. dad pays $100 AUD a week.yes, my dog had ALWAYS been well cared for, also wouldn't be spending THAT much money to keep him there while he looks for somewhere that accepts pets we love him like a baby
What pet stores in the Chicagoland area sell hedgehogs?
First of all owning a hedgehog in Il are NOT illegal. I am very interested in buying a baby hedgehog. I know I can't find them in a petco, so I'm looking for an exotic petshop around Chicago that sells them. I am trying to avoid getting them from a breeder because they are $150 . I heard that some petshops sell them for around $30. I want a 6 week old salt and pepper female. Is there any pet stores you know of that sell them? Thanks
