Trainig a sun conure...help what would be the age?
Hello, i have a 1 1 2 months old sun conure, is still a baby. Now i'm thinking that when he is growing up he'll be calm and quite and cool. I got my bird from a breeder very good human. She loved that bird but we made a deal. She had at least 8 different species. Well back to the SUN CONURE topic. I feed him zupreem for conures..Now he is strong but not that strong he is still a baby...I want to know what would be the best age for me to start training him? This would be my first bird pet. I did my research before i got him..any information would be appreciated..and thanks..

What should I be feeding my sun turtle?
I have had my sun turtle Donald for about 5 years and he was purchased at a animal store. I have always fed him pellets and occasionally as a treat I give him dried shrimp but I have read that he should have a lot more variety like vegetables. I have tried giving him carrots and lettuce but he won't eat it. I'm not comfortable with giving him anything live like little fish, I would feel really bad He seems healthy and is active but I just worry that this is not a good diet.
How to stop my sun conure from biting.?
I have had my sun conure since he was a few months old, I have had him for about 3 years. He has recently started biting, biting to the point that he is making people bleed. For the first year of his life he was very friendly, he would let anyone hold him. Once he was about two years old he was picking and choosing who he would let hold him. Put recently he was been biting everyone including me. He never bit me before recently and he is biting to the point where it is drawing blood. Is putting him back in his cage the right thing to do? Some told me to spary him with a squirt bottle like you do to a cat, is this true? Does anyone have any suggestions?
My aunt's dog ate my sun chips!!! is that bad for her?
i had a little bag of original sun chips... and my aunt's dog ate most of them..... she is a jack russell terrier i'm so worried because i'm not supposed 2 have the dog in my house and i heard that wheat can be very bad for dogs i don't know what 2 do i heard that wheat can cause sneezing, itchy face & butt, diarrhea, vomiting, ear infections, attitude change, and lots of other things for dogs.. apparently that's not true... but she sneezed, scratched her face, and started licking her butt a minute later... the reason i can't have the dog in my house is because my uncle apparently gets jealous of me giving the dogs too much attention... thats what my mom told me i already passed that line with the black lab... i dont want it 2 happen again cuz i love those dogs
My Chihuahua loves to sleep on the window sill in the sun, will she get heat stroke?
I don't want her to get too hot.She starts panting and getting really sleepy after like 15 minutes, lol.'Mommy of 2', I don't even understand how someone could say that. It's fine if you don't like Chihuahuas, but wishing them to die of heat stroke just because a lot of girls have them is messed up. I don't know how a mother could be such a heartless bitch.
What kind of bird cage should I get for a Sun Conure?
I have a sun conure and I have a decent size cage. It is about 17W, 24L. He is about 3 4 months old. I want to get a better bigger cage that will last a long time, if not forever. I am having a hard time deciding between a dome top or a play top. Every time someone is home, the cage door is left open and he is free to come in and out of his cage. So far, as I can tell, he spends about half his time in and half his time out of his cage. His wings are clipped. Any information would be great. I understand that it comes down to personal preference but just hearing how you have your bird cage set up or what you prefer will help.
Sun conure owners question?
hey im getting a sun conure soon or maybe a green cheek but would it be ok to go to school from 749 to 230 and play with it for like the rest of the night or whatever i just dont want it to get bored while im at school and does anyone know if this works while ur away somewhere you leave a radio or tv on but anyways im also gonna wake him up in the mornings early but would it be ok to wake up birdie at like 630? haha thanks and share a story about ur conure experiences...i like storys like i just feel thats to much time away and also im afraid it wont have enough time to first get used to me when i first get it because ill be at school
Sun conure head shape: male or female?
My sun conure is about 3 years old and we thought she was a girl. However she hasn't started to lay eggs yet. I heard you can tell the sex by the shape of their head. I can't really tell though so if you could find me any pictures of the head shapes or explain the differences in detail I would appreciate it.
