Question: How can i get my parents to say yes to a pet (preferably a dog..)?
(Posted by: Elephants1012 on 2010-03-09 15:45:19)
I want a dog so bad! But my parents dodon'think that i will clean up after it and that they will have to do all the work. My mom and dad both had dogs as kids and feel that they are too much work. I on the other hand feel that im ready for an animal! They only pet ive had in my 13 years of living were fish...but then they died. and i dididn'tike the fish anyways. What things can i do to prove to my parents that i am ready for a dog? Im even willing to pay for it myself! And we live in a house with a big backyard, lots of parks nearby and my friends all have pets so they could dedefiantlyelp me with the training. Why i want an animal: ever since i was little i longed for somebody to play with. I have a sister but shes 6.5 years older than me and she was more interested hanging out with her friends then playing "house " with me. I want one to play with, something to do outside of school, and somebody that i can talk to when im sad, or happy, instead of myself..lol. BTW: if i cocouldn'tet a dog from all of your advice... what would be some ways to convince them for gu Guinea pigs? |

If your parents don't want one then there's nothing you can do "to convince them " just get the dog, my parents were like that, then i brought the dog home and it's still here. and now my mom loves it so everything is cool. but they will get mad on the spot and perhaps a few days after. |

Well tell them that it's better off with u than some abusive person's home, and that f you don't it will properly end up getting put into a room where they get gased |

Thats like me(: i have a dog already so i guess im pretty lucky, but i really want another. my parents say no because they think i won't clean up after it, and they think i'll get tired of it. i keep begging them but it doesnt really work. so instead i tried making a list of the things that i promise to do if i got another dog, and i can pretty much pay for it myself. good luck!
