Is your house carpeted or non carpeted? the fleas need some place to hide, and usually like to hang out in carpet, or furniture like couches, lazy boys, etc. I had fleas for the longest time after the animals brought them in. You can get some mostly harmless anti-flea sprays in pet stores, shampooing the carpets are important, and if there's any furniture, I'd cover it in plastic or just keep it away from any carpet or people for a a little while. Also, leaving a bowl of water on the floor can sometimes help, as the fleas tend to be attracted to it for some reason. Vacuum lots, shampoo the carpets, vacuum, shampoo them again, and try to make any furniture as uncomfortable for the fleas as possible. If you know where they're concentrated, avoid that area as much as possible, as they feed off blood and warmth of a living creature.
