Question: Why do pets run away?

So many people provide such loving and wonderful homes for their pets, but why do they still want to run away from home?

There are many factors as to why your pet may run away. It may be due to boredom or loneliness, fear from an unexpected event or a sudden curiosity if doors or windows are left open. Cats and dogs are also known to wander off in search of their old, familiar surroundings if they have recently relocated to a new home.

Most pets just want to play. also they might be afraid of someone in the home even if its not you

Well i hear that pets like dogs and cats run away from home because they pick up a scent and follow it around. Like a dog that`s not neutered and goes of chasing tail yea it`s pretty weird but if u think bout it it make sense. Also sometimes the owners just smother they`re pets with toys and blankets little coats and clothing for those chihuahuas and they just want to get out of that house. Yea there is such a thing as OVER caring for they`re pets. Also if u have a pet bird or something and u keep it inside a cage all day but still at least take it out a couple of times to fly it will still run away, remember all animals are still wild somewhere inside there even if they are the most pampered pet on the planet.

I have no Idea probably if your dog-sitting they miss their owners because one time Fancy a dog I was dog-sitting ran away when I was sleeping and my brother had to go get it and it ran away like at 3 AM onto the streets..
