Question: Why is there always a sun and/or tree on vet signs?

I noticed that your typical sign for a veterinarian clinic always has a sun and/ or tree on it (usually with a cat and dog as well of course). Is it just coincidence, or is there a meaning behind this tree- sun- vet clinic relationship?

Maybe its because cats sun bath and dogs like to lay under shady trees :)

Here in North America, the insignia for D.V.M.'s is: pellavet.com/ images/ logos/ 5.jpg (Looks a little snakey to me... hehe) The Tree-Sun insignia must indicate something other than D.V.M., Doctor of Veterinary Medicine; maybe they specialize in something.
