I have 3 weeks old puppies and today is a nice warn sunny day... is it ok to put puppies for a little while under the sun light?

Yes, if you are worried about things like a sunburn, don't, unless they are Chihuahuas, their fur should protect them. In the wild, similar animals like wolves have no problem with sunlight. They should be fine as long as you supervise them.

Partially, and yes, they should have sunlight - but they should also be able to get out of it. They are better off being left where they are, if this requires a big move - three weeks old is a tender age, and while they do need light, they need to still be protected from germs and drafts, and sharp noises.

They are still a bit young, much as I used to get mine out pretty early, provided the weather was fine enough. I didn't leave them outside for very long however, and the moment they'd done running about in the ex-pen, and started to settle down for a nap, they came back in. Some sun on their backs is good, but don't over-do it, and stay with them so the moment you see any signs of distress at all, get them back in - I'd leave it another week before you try this, to be honest. It's kind-of coupled with weaning, and at 3 weeks, I'd suggest this would only just have begun?

I always take my pups out into the yard when it is warm and sunny. Just be careful not to leave them alone, so other animals can't get them.

Yes it will be good for them but do not let them get hot.

When my dog had her first litter of pups in the summer we put them outside all day if it was warm (when they were about 3_4 weeks old) then we brought them back in in the afternoon. It did them good as they would just sleep all night and they were more calm
